Verde Tribe is a Charlotte-based plant wellness company. For 7 years we've helped plant lovers build confidence and connection — through community events that bring people together, and through in-home plant care, maintenance, and plant sitting.
We're hiring a part-time Events & Operations Assistant to be the owner's right hand: helping run our events, keeping the business organized behind the scenes, and creating content for our community. You don't need to know how to do everything — if you're reliable, organized, and eager to learn, we're happy to teach the rest.
What You'll Help With
Events (our main focus): Help prep event materials and supplies, set up and break down events, run guest check-in, coordinate supplies and plants, and help create a warm, welcoming experience.
Operations & admin: Track inventory, purchase supplies and plants, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
Marketing & content: Write captions, blogs, and newsletters (we'll plan the topics and themes together, then you write), create and schedule social posts, edit short-form video, and engage with our community online.
Plant care: Water, prep, and maintain plants for events, keep our plant inventory healthy and event-ready, and learn the basics to support our plant care services.
We're Looking For Someone Who Is
Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
A strong writer and warm communicator
Bringing some marketing basics, or genuinely eager to learn them
Comfortable picking up new tools and systems
Friendly, positive, and proactive
Has reliable transportation
Available on our event days (see schedule)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
Bonus, not required: Canva, video editing, photography, event or customer-service experience, or GoHighLevel.
Schedule
We believe in work-life balance, and the hours are steady and predictable:
About 20 hours per week, with flexible weekday hours for content, admin, and prep
About 3–4 events a month, each on a Thursday (5:30–9:30pm) or Sunday (2–6pm), including setup and takedown
Training & hybrid: training takes place in person at our home office so you can learn the ropes. After that, the role is hybrid — home, on-site at events, and occasionally the home office for plant care and prep. We're flexible about when and where you work, as long as the work gets done.
There's room to grow into more hours, responsibility, and pay as we grow.
